That we mourn with those who mourn
Romans 12:15b– . . . and weep with those who weep

Father, I come before you today to pray for my fellow writing comrades as they experience the inevitable ups and downs that come with the publishing business. Your Word says that we’re to mourn with those who mourn, that we weep with those who weep. Deep down, whether we can identify with the exact circumstances of our brothers and sisters or not, we all can identify with loss, with grief. I pray that people will be sensitive to the needs and experiences of others, and that this sensitivity will cover every conference attendee like a blanket. Help us to see beyond our own nervousness and apprehension and be attuned to the body of Christ in a very tangible way. Give us your heart for others in distress, and reach out to them with a gentle touch, a whispered prayer, or silent support. In your name we pray, Amen.
