ACFW Conference Prayer: For Worship Pleasing to God
2 Corinthians 5:9-Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.
As we move toward the hope of giving all glory to You, we ask that our time of worship may be pleasing to You.
Show us how to celebrate our talents and the written word by standing in praise of You. Allow us to hold You up high as we strive to show Your grace and love in each thought we think, each song we sing, and each word we speak. We lift up Your name in praise and worship, sweet Lord. And we ask that in doing so, we show You our hearts and our willingness to give You all thanks and glory. We ask this in Your Holy Name. Amen.

In a life devoid of safety
I’ve forgotten how to pray,
and I think that, well, now maybe
I have to learn to find a way.
You allowed the deadly tumour,
and I won’t question how or why,
and I will keep my good humour;
well, at least, I’m gonna try.
Is there a formula, or something
to which my worship should confirm?
Am I remiss, that I don’t bring
devotion unto holy norm?
I have to trust, though nothing’s clear
that You are listening, and You hear.
