ACFW Conference Prayer – For all attending to have a servant’s heart toward those around them
John 3:34-35–A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
Heavenly Father, as we gather in San Antonio to fellowship with old and new friends, may we be ever mindful of our service to You. May Your love shine through us we open our hearts with love to encourage and support our fellow writers. May we each have a servant’s heart, willing and ready to serve wherever and whenever we may be needed. In Your Son’s beloved name we pray. Amen.
Written by Martha Rogers
I did not really want to serve,
but saw not God’s sneaky ends,
and so I am what I deserve
slave to twenty canine friends.
They eat and walk, poop and pee,
and at night I hold their paws,
but still they’re drawn to brigandry,
and obey few human laws.
I saw me on a different course,
a suave and bright high-flyer,
but to say I don’t like life’s obverse
would make me out a liar.
The barking days are true delight,
to match the snoring, drooling night.
