American Christian Fiction Writers
is a national organization made up of writers of Christian fiction. I’ve been a member since 2006 and have never regretted it. In fact, it is an amazing organization. I’ve never had the chance to attend their national convention until this year. I am SO EXCITED!
Not only will this be my first ACFW national conference, I am teching a workshop there called Creating a Believable Science Fiction or Fantasy Storyworld, I get to room with three ladies from my online critique group (Christian Young Adult Writers and Readers ), I get to meet teen author Christian Miles (another one of my critique group friends), my books will be for sale in the ACFW bookstore, By Darkness Hid is nominated for the Carol Award in the speculative category along with three other Marcher Lord Press novels, and Jeff Gerke, my editor and the founder of Marcher Lord Press, is one of three nominees for Editor of the Year.
Is this going to be fun or what?
This year’s conference is located in Indianapolis, IN, September 17-20, 2010. The keynote speaker is Tim Downs . The early bird speaker is James Scott Bell .
