Thank you, Father, for this adventurous writing desire you have given me. Thank you for how far you have brought me and for all the many blessings surrounding me. You are always faithful. My heart overflows with praise and thanksgiving to You.

May I always stay humble and kind.

Psalm 147:6

The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.

May I never forget where I started, and may I always be an encourager to all those in my writing circle. Uproot any bitterness, selfishness, or impatience that darkens the deepest parts of my heart. Instead sow a field of generosity in its place that will produce a harvest of goodness. Give me a clear vision of where you would have me go with my stories. Help me find the perfect balance between all my responsibilities and take time for rest.

Psalm 149:4

For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.

Father, I know that You hate the proud, but love the humble. You have taught us to not think of ourselves more highly than others, but to honor others above ourselves. Give me a heart for others, to serve them with love and kindness, not with selfish motives or ambitions, but with a humble and gracious heart. Your word tells us in Matthew 23:12 that those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Keep me, Lord, from bringing shame, disgrace, and destruction on myself by having an arrogant attitude, or boastful words. Instead develop within me a considerate heart, willing to help others, showing true humility to those all around me.

Proverbs 11:25

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

Develop in me the kind of woman who lifts others up, a woman that can be trusted, a true friend who avoids godless chatter, a genuine and honorable woman of God. Keep the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart pleasing in your sight.

Proverbs 2:10

For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

Give me a teachable heart. Teach me through your word and spirit. Don’t allow me to trust in myself, my words, nor things of this world, but to trust in You and walk in Your wisdom. Help me to accept instruction and advice from others and to also give it with a loving heart. Give me wisdom in choosing friends and keeping a safe distance from those who will not build up my character.

Proverbs 19:8

The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.

Give me wisdom in all of my words, sentences, chapters, and novels. I pray that each one will be pleasing to you and that you will shine in each and every book I produce.

Thank you, Jesus, for all your many blessings.

Amen!

Thank you for allowing me to share these prayers with you. May God bless you in everything you do.

  1. Thanks for this post. I am sitting here working through my emails before I write up a community prayer board. The balance between my time as a writer and the time needed to fulfil my ministry roles is something I am bringing more and more to God. )i(
