Forty Days of Prayer: Day 24

Please join us in today’s prayer, written by a member of ACFW’s Forty Days of Prayer team.

For attendees to have a servant’s heart to those around them.

John 3:34-35–A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

Father, we ask that you would give each person in attendance the heart of a servant. Help us to get our eyes off of ourselves, and to become aware of the needs and hurts of the people around us. Help us to recognize when another attendee is struggling with rejection or fear or a lack of self-confidence. Give us the words that will encourage and heal. Help us also to celebrate with those who are rejoicing over good news. Don’t allow jealousy to creep in, but let us genuinely be glad for them and share in their joy. We also pray that we’ll have servants’ hearts for the hotel staff and other non-ACFW guests. Help us to be thoughtful, helpful, friendly and grateful. May they see something in our group that is winsome and wooing––drawing them to You, Lord, and perhaps planting a seed that will grow long after we’ve departed the hotel.
