Submerged, Dani Pettrey’s debut novel in her Alaskan Courage series is amazing. Dani, a talented author, knows how to weave together a suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Set in Alaska, it features lots of information about the state, the area, and about deep-sea diving. I could almost feel spiraling airplane as it crashes into the ocean, the iciness of the water, the fear as the plane shifts when the rescue workers attempt to save the victims. The characters feel so real they could be flesh and blood. They are flawed and hurting, but striving to live for Christ as best they can.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters as they struggle to get away from their past to find a future.
