  1. I notice that all 24 new releases for August 2014 are written by women. Did all the men simply have a bad month in getting their novels to print? Or do men simply not write in this genre very often?

It has to be the latter. If one flips a coin 24 times and it comes up heads all 24 times, there is reason to inspect the coin. (I did the math; the odds are 1 out of 16,777,216.)

So, where are the male authors? At least as the genre is defined on this website, there is no reason why women would have a monopoly on “Christian Fiction.” Is there a sociological explanation for this gender tilt? Or is there something in ACFW’s underlying DNA that contains a “by women, for women” element despite the broader definition?
