ACFW Conference Prayer: For Mentor and Specialty Appointments (Day 19)
Psalm 66:19-20 – But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer Nor His lovingkindness from me.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for Your goodness, mercy, lovingkindness, and unfailing Word to us. Your word never returns void, and You hear and answer our prayers in Your time. Prepare our hearts as we meet with Mentors and Specialty Appointments. Bless each mentor, agent, and editor with Your words and wisdom. Encourage us as we seek to bless You and do Your will. In Jesus Precious Name and for His Glory Alone. Amen.

Mentoring can be a pain,
a sometimes thankless task,
having to repeat again
what trainee forgot to ask.
They have enthusiastic mien
like a horde of beagle pups,
wet-nosed, bright-eyed and keen,
and poised for real slip-ups.
Thus, patience is our watchword
and forbearance is our creed
to steer the kids from untoward
goals, and to the ones they need.
I’ll be prematurely grey, no doubt,
if I don’t first pull all hair out.
