Day 10–The families we leave at home

Rom. 8:26-27–In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Our Heavenly Father, we humbly bow before you in intercession for those we love. We know that as we seek renewal, spiritual growth, and professional expertise at the conference our families are vulnerable to attack. So we ask you to protect them by the shed blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit from all the ploys of the enemy. Keep them wholly safe and healthy while we’re gone. Even more we ask that they would experience a time of renewal and affirmation. Help them give all their anxieties over to you and to grow from this experience.

Dear God, we love our families and want what is best for them. We don’t always know what that is, but we trust that you do. We ask your Holy Spirit to dwell in them, rest over them, and keep them ever before you. Give them joy in the service they offer us.
So keep our husbands, wives, children, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and all those we hold dear safe in the palm of your hand, and bless them with your presence as we are temporarily absent. Let peace reign in their hearts and minds, and let them miss us just a little bit so that our reunions will be sweet celebrations.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
