Conference staff
1 Thessalonians 1:3a–Constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love . . .
Heavenly Father,
As preparations are being made and programs implemented, we lift up the ACFW Conference Staff into Your hands. Keep them focused on You, because it is to Your glory that this conference is held. Dispel any frustrations, anxieties, and stress from rearing up when hiccups occur. Give them the ability to see obstacles and overcome them, go around them, or bypass them. Unite them as a team so they can do the very best possible in pulling off this conference of Christian fiction writers who all have the same goal— to honor You through our Lord Jesus Christ for whom we write.
We ask Your Holy Spirit to rule over their hearts, their abilities, and their tasks. We pray to instill in each one how important their role is, and also give them a willingness to help where needed. May the knowledge that this is a labor of love be on their hearts and minds through the planning and set-up, each day of the conference, and until the last participant leaves and the clean-up is over. In all they do, may they reflect You to hotel staff and everyone they encounter.
And, Lord, instill in each conference participant abundant gratitude for all the behind-the-scene tasks the Conference Staff handles. Thank you for their willingness to serve, for the talents you have bestowed on them, and the bonding that will occur as they work together. May they constantly praise You in all circumstances and see Your hand in all they do.
We humbly offer this prayer to You through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who offered up all for each of us.
