Topic: That we mourn with those who mourn
Romans 12:15b– . . . and weep with those who weep
Dear Heavenly Father, please prepare our hearts as we near the upcoming ACFW conference. We all have hopes, dreams, and fears that may consume us in the midst of it. We’ll be surrounded by a multitude of people and information. There will be meetings to prepare for and schedules for which we’ll need to adhere.
Yet in the midst of all this, Lord, we pray that You will open the hearts, souls, and minds of each and every one of us toward those who may be struggling with hurts and disappointments. We pray, Lord, that You will give us a supernatural empathy for our brothers and sisters in Christ, to help us come alongside them, to know what to say or do so there is no doubt in their minds that You are but a whisper away. Help us to truly mourn with those who mourn and bless and encourage them in ways that are only possible through Your divine nature. We ask this in Your precious Son’s name. Amen.
