Topic: That God’s will be accomplished at the conference
Psalm 115:1–Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.
Father, we kneel before you acknowledging you as our Sovereign LORD. Before we were ever knit together in our mother’s womb, you had a plan for us and our writing. That plan included this year’s ACFW conference.
As the conference approaches, LORD, we ask your will be accomplished. We ask you to open the doors you want opened and close the doors you want to remain closed for each of us. Give us clarity and discernment to understand when you want us to walk through those doors, and when you want us to turn away.
Each person comes to the conference with expectations. Help us be willing to relinquish those expectations . . . hopes . . . dreams to your perfect will, knowing you are in control. Help us remember your dreams for us are so much better than we could ever dream for ourselves.
Father, you are the giver of every good and perfect gift. That includes the gift you’ve given us to write for you.
You are faithful to complete the good work you began in each of us. May we always use the gift you’ve given for your glory to accomplish your will. Nothing more. Nothing less.
