Christmas gives me ALL the feels! Every year I find myself wanting to relive all those special nostalgic moments from holidays past. Certainly Christmases have changed lately, with several tragic losses in the Mentink clan. I’m sure we’ve all got stories about holidays missed and mourned. Nonetheless, I persevere in hanging onto those precious holiday moments of yester year that warm something deep down in my soul. One way we do that around here is to watch holiday movies. You too? Yes, there’s nothing like turning on those sweet, holiday flicks while sprawled on comfy couches, cocoa in hand. Why? Because unlike life, we KNOW how it’s going to work out. We can rely on that silly, sappy movie to renew our festive feelings, to rekindle the sparkle on our tinsel and provide that happy ending we long for.
Okay then! Let’s have a little fun trivia game, shall we? See if you can name the movie associated with each famous quote. Don’t worry, the answers will be below if you need a little help! Ready to get started? Ok! Here we go!
Name That Movie!
- “You have such a pretty face. You should be on a Christmas card.”
- “Will you please tell Santa that instead of presents this year, I just want my family back?”
- “We’re your worst nightmare. Elves with attitude.”
- “I’ll give you the moon, Mary.”
- “I believe, I believe, it’s silly, but I believe.”
- “God bless us everyone.”
- “The thing about trains… it doesn’t matter where they’re going. What matters is deciding to get on.”
- “And as any child can tell you, there’s a certain magic that comes with the very first snow, especially when it falls on the day before Christmas.” (1969)
- “It’s Christmas Eve. It’s the one night of the year when we all act a little nicer, we smile a little easier, we cheer a little more. For a couple of hours out of the whole year we are the people that we always hoped we would be.”
10.”My dear partner, when what’s left of you gets around to what’s left to be gotten, what’s left to be gotten won’t be worth getting, whatever it is you’ve got left.”
Did you get them all? Check yourself with the answers below and I hope you have many happy hours with friends and family this Christmas.
