Day 23 Focus: For conferees to grasp what is taught and to grow from it

Verse: James 1:5 (NIV) —If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Prayer:

Precious Father, sometimes I wonder about this calling I feel in my heart. This yearning to write of your goodness for a world desperate for your direction and grace. I sit in a room with people talented and wise and feel so small and simple. Undeserving to speak out or ask for their help, or yours. But then I remember Moses who stuttered. Matthew the tax collector. Mary Magdelene, David and so many others who were unsure and questioned the same calling. The same hearts who cried out with doubt. And the same who felt your presence leading and providing. Feeding and inspiring through quiet whispers and wild storms. You know my faults, fears, and inadequate knowledge as you did theirs. I humbly ask you to open my eyes, ears, and heart. To listen with an open mind and ask questions. To trust and believe that yes, I am right here where I need to be. Help me to grow not only in the knowledge of making my work better, but in the knowing it’s your amazing hand that led me here. In your son’s name, I pray in gratitude.. Amen.
