ACFW Conference Prayer: For Conferees to Grasp What is Taught and Grow from It
James 1:5–But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Dear Father,
In Your word, You tell us that if we lack wisdom, we can ask because You give generously (James 1:5) We ask You now to give conference attendees wisdom to absorb what You have for them. In the workshops, give them understanding. In the keynote sessions, give them ears to hear truth. In the worship times, give them a heart to hear Your soft whisper of love and conviction. We ask for You to take the seeds planted at conference and grow them to an abundance of fruit that gives You glory. We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

I really want to understand
this stuff I’ll hear today;
therefore, Lord, give me a hand
and bend my ear your way.
Please keep my brain right on task,
and don’t let attention fail.
Don’t let me wander off and bask
beside some rabbit-trail.
Also, Lord, please guide my pen,
’cause taking notes is a real bust;
my penmanship reminds me of when
I saw chicken-tracks in the dust.
Finally, let me check, not assume,
so I end up in the proper room.
