Day 10
The families we leave at home

Rom. 8:26-27–In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Dear Father God,

Thank you for another glorious day in Your care. As we prepare to come together from near and far to attend this conference, our thoughts are on You and our writing.  And yet, we are torn as we say good-bye to our wonderful families.  They are so precious to us, and it is hard to be away from them even for a few days. And so Father, we ask that during this time away, You protect and take care of our loved ones, our husbands, our wives, our daughters and our sons.

Sometimes Father, we worry about them or feel guilty because we have left them to spend this time on our writing. And we wonder, do they need me right now? Am I not being there for them like I should be? Yet You know exactly what they need, Father. And you know our hearts and how much we want our families to be safe and sound until we can return.

Help us to find comfort and peace in knowing that as we follow Your call on our lives to write and attend this conference to learn how to become better writers, You are blessing and protecting our loved ones we have left at home.

In Jesus’ Awesome Name we pray,
Amen
